Introduction
The general conditions of recognition introduced by Ofqual require all Awarding Organizations and Training Centres to have formal arrangements in place with centres and third parties. As an approved centre MARKHOR SHIELD SECURITY SERVICES have a policy in place to support learners in the event of centre or qualification approval being withdrawn by an Awarding Organization.
Purpose
The policy sets out how MARKHOR SHIELD SECURITY SERVICES aims to support learners in the event of centre or qualification approval, being withdrawn by an Awarding Organization.
Process
MARKHOR SHIELD SECURITY SERVICES will take all reasonable steps to protect the interests of learners in the case of such a withdrawal, this will include:
- Taking all reasonable steps to prevent centre or qualification approval from being withdrawn.
- Cooperating fully with the Awarding Organizations in cases where either the centre or the Awarding Organizations decides it needs to withdraw the centre from its role in delivering a qualification.
- This co-operation will be provided whether the withdrawal is voluntary or via the application of sanction.
- Take reasonable steps to protect the interest of learners in the case of a withdrawal of a qualification from the centre includes.
- If the withdrawal has been attributed to one assessor only, then an alternative assessor will be assigned to the learner to complete their qualification.
- If the qualification approval has been withdrawn from the centre only then learners would be transferred to an alternative training provider within their local area so the qualification can be completed.
- The ESFA will provide support in this matter.
- If the qualification or centre approval has been withdrawn from the whole centre then all learners would be referred to an alternative training provider within their local area.
- The ESFA will provide support in this matter. Organization review and evaluation of the policy.
Policy review This policy will be reviewed every year to take account of any changed technology, legislation, expectations or practices.
